Heroquest; jugar sin Master / no Master needed
Pues he estado diseñando un sistema para poder jugar sin Master al Heroquest. No es perfecto, pero por algo se empieza.
Actualmente solo lo tengo en Castellano, pero seguramente suba una versión en inglés.
De momento está en la versión 1.0, se ha probado y funciona bastante bien.
El Mod consiste en 8 páginas de instrucciones (que espero estén bien explicadas), y 5 hojas para cortar, que contienen 45 cartas.
Estas cartas son el meollo del Mod, cada una representa 1 habitación, y/o un evento, con sus trampas, enemigos y todo eso.
He intentado que las cartas sean lo más autoexplicativas posibles y que todo sea sencillito.
En fins, sin más rodeos os dejo el enlace para que lo bajéis y le echéis un vistazo.

The Mod consists in an 8 pages rules (I hope they are well explained), and 5 pages with 45 cards.

Proyecto, cota de malla / Project, chainmail; PART 3
Como me han preguntando como se hace una cota de malla, voy a ir dando unas instrucciones básicas.
Lo primero, no hay una medida fija, ni una forma única de hacer las cosas, más bien, es la propia experiencia la que te dice si lo que haces está bien o no.
Since people have asked me how to make a chainmail, I'm going to give some basic instrucctions.
First, there is not a final size, nor an only way to do this, it's more, the experiencie that tells you if you'r doing it right or not.
Sobre el material;
Yo uso cable de acero galvanizado, de 1,3 mm, es fácil de manejar, de cortar, y de trabajar.
Además al ser más fino la cota de malla es MUCHO más ligera.
About the material;
I use galvanized steel wire, 1,3 mm, easy to handle, to cut, and to work with.
Also, been more thin, the final chainmail, will be much more lighter.
El diámetro;
Como uso un calibre de cable fino, el diámetro interior también es pequeño, exactamente 8 mm.
Es importante buscar una buena relación entre diámetro de la anilla y grosor del cable, o te puede quedar una malla muy abierta.
Para mí, este es el tamaño perfecto.
The diameter;
As I use a thin wire, the inside diameter has to be also small, it's 8 mm.
It's importan to use a good relation between diameter and ring thick, or your mail will be very open.
For me, this is a perfect size.
Unidades básicas;
Utilizo el sistema de 4-1, esto es, que cada anilla agarra a otras 4.
Se podría hacer un 6-1, incluso un 8-1, pero sinceramente, no merece la pena.
Basic units;
I use the 4-1 system, this means, each ring holds 4 more.
You may use 6-1, even 8-1, but it's no worth the effort.

Sistema de trabajo;
Como ya habéis visto en las entrada anteriores, lo 1º es hacer los muelles.
Esta vez he empezado con 1/3 del total del material.
Después cortar las anillas hasta el aburrimiento.
El siguiente paso es unir anillas en unidades básicas.
Work system;
As you have seen in previus post, first is making the srpings.
This time I started with 1/3 of all the material.
Then, cut the rings until you get bored.
Next step, is to join rings into basic units.
Cuando tengas un montón, y algo más, puedes empezar a hacer cadenas, uniendo las unidades básicas entre sí.
When yo got a hell of them, and more, you may start doing chains, by joining basic units.
El cuello;
Yo hago esta distribución, que funciona bastante bien.
Contando los anillos interiores como si fueran unidades hago la distribución de esta manera.
10 para los lados, (añade si eres un cabezón).
12 para el cuello
14 para la espalda, se hace un poco más largo, para que se reparta mejor el peso y la cota no te ahogue.
The neck:
I do it this way, works fine.
By counting the interior rings, like they are units, I make the distribution this way.
10 for the sides, (add more if you have a big head).
12 for the neck.
14 for the back, I make this a bit longer, so the weigth spread better, and the mail doesn't suffocate you.
El hombro:
añadiendo la 1º pieza del hombro, te preguntarás, ¿cuanto de largo?
volviendo a las anillas exteriores como unidades, yo tengo 2 medidas.
1: hasta 30 anillas, si no quieres mangas.
2: hasta 40 anillas, si quieres manga corta.
The shoulder;
adding the 1º piece of the shoulder, you may wonder, how long?
Again using exterior rings as units, I have 2 sizes.
1: until 30, if you don't want sleeves.
2: until 40, if ypu want short sleeves.
*Recuerda que yo hago las cotas de malla según la complexión del que me la encarga. Si eres más delgado, o más gordo puedes quitar o añadir.
También hay que tener en cuenta el tamaño y grosor de la anilla, a distinta anilla o grosor, estas medidas no sirven.
Como ya he dicho, no es una medida exacta, es solo mi experiencia, ya llevo 3 cotas de malla terminadas, y sigo aprendiendo y mejorando cada vez.
*Remmember I do chainmail by the complexion of the one that gives me the order. If you are thiner or fatter, you may take away or add.
Also you have to consider the size and thickness of the ring, using a different ring of thickness, this measurements doesn't work.
As I say, it's not an exact size, it's just my experiencie, I have done 3 chainmails so far, and I'm still learning and getting better.
